The following post features student writing.

We woke up bright and early to have a delicious breakfast and to begin working. We continued filling the structure with concrete that we mixed by hand. We also went to the local school to help paint the walls.

We took a break and had beef and lentils with rice. Lunch was great as usual.

After lunch, some continued to shovel dirt into the structure while others went to paint. Then, it was time for a little break. Carlos took us all to the river and decided to go for a little swim. We asked Carlos to take a video and one by one we all jumped into the river. Some of us even did flips! We all had a blast.

Then we had some black bean soup with a hard-boiled egg for dinner. In our group meeting, we played a really fun game called “Mafia.” After the exciting meeting, everyone was tired, so we walked home and went to bed. Now, we’re ready for another awesome day in Bonanza Norte.
